— OUR STORY —
A single flame,
passed from table to table.
From one Shabbat alone in a Brooklyn hotel — to a movement across the Jewish world.

— WORDS FROM THE FOUNDER —
Gad Elbaz
For years I traveled the world singing — and I saw the most extraordinary thing: tables. Tables in Jerusalem. Tables in Sydney. Tables in São Paulo. Tables full of strangers who became family within hours.
But I also saw the other side. The Shabbatot when I sat alone in a hotel room far from home. I knew that somewhere — in that very city — there was a Jewish family with an empty chair, candles already lit, food on the stove.
We just had no way to find each other.
The Shefa Table is the bridge I wish had existed. One flame, one table at a time.
— OUR VALUES —
Four quiet principles.
Dignity
Every guest, every host — treated like royalty.
Trust
Every door verified. Every soul seen.
Privacy
A doorman, never a spotlight.
Gratitude
No prices. Only quiet acts of thanks.
— THE STORY SO FAR —
From a single Shabbat in 2021.
The first seed.
A Shabbat alone in Brooklyn. The idea that no Jew should ever sit alone.
First conversations.
Rabbis, hosts, and friends across the world — all said the same: build it.
The design takes form.
The flame. The cream. The trust seals. Every detail considered.
The platform built.
Thirty screens, three journeys, two trust seals, one flame.
Beginning in Miami.
First fifty hosts. First emissaries sealed. The doors begin to open.
